  1.                   Quickie SINBAUD Information......

  4. Ok I know how it is (smile).....

  6. You probably dont want to read anything and get on with the show!  Well in the
  7. hopes that you will atleast read this here is a quick start procedure for
  8. SINBAUD!
  9.  
  10. Sinbaud requirements: * DOOR.SYS or DORINFOx.DEF drop file (bbs installations)
  11.  
  12.                       * IBM PC/XT/AT compatable with ANSI.SYS installed
  13.                           (ANSI.SYS - See your DOS Manual)
  14.  
  15.                       * Some cookies and milk and a big NERF BAT
  16.  
  17. ---------------------------- IMPORTANT! -------------------------------------

  19. <<<<  You must have a copy of BRUN45.EXE  Quick Basic's Run-time library >>>>
  20.       I have included this file in the sinbaud package.  It is not neccessary
  21.       to include this file in the sinbaud game directory but must be made
  22.       available somewhere in your PATH statment.  (See DOS docs re: path)

  25.                     Installation Procedure:
  26.  
  27. 1) Uncompress all files into the directory you intend to use
  28.  
  29. 2) Run INSTALL.exe (Answer the questions)
  30.  
  31. 3) To play locally type SINBAUD LOCAL
  32.  
  33. 4) Thats it!   For specific BBS installation just pass a DOOR.SYS, SFDOORS.DAT
  34.                or DORINFOx.DEF drop file to the game directory.  Make
  35.                this directory current and execute the game via a batch file.

  42.             ---=== Just a note about Registering Sinbaud! ===---

  45. Well I didnt mention it but as a registered user of Sinbaud 1.0 and later
  46. you shall receive the required key files for mega-level play.  You will
  47. receive the following support programs:
  48.  
  49.                     1)  A handy player editor/manager
  50.                         for adjusting a players attributes and locations
  51.  
  52.                     2)  A Clue/Scroll Manager for writing your own scrolls
  53.                         and clue messages!
  54.  
  55.                     3)  A Clue/Scroll Compiler for linking the scrolls
  56.  
  57.                     4)  Some notes from the programmer describing the
  58.                         attributes of all the link files for creating your
  59.                         own rooms and adventures
  60.  
  61.                     5)  The original programmers MAP to the lands of CHARON!
  62.                         (if you register by mail)
  63.

  65. The Evaluation version of Sinbaud is functional and playable.  There are a
  66. few things to note however.  Your Character cannot play forever and become
  67. a super hero.  Sinbaud will limit your player Level and limit your attributes.
  68. But dont take this the wrong way.... the game has been played for months by
  69. beta testers and they state the game play is adequate for most any user to
  70. evaluate this door game.  There are no TIME BOMBS and no bothersom MESSAGES.
  71. There are no limits on the number of players and no functional restrictions.
  72. Well enough said on this and hope you enjoy this game.

  75. I think you will agree this is probably worth the registration fee not to
  76. mention the good feeling you will get knowing you support shareware!

  81.                                      before they do the same to you!  Enter
  82.                                      the galactic maze and go MAD!
  83.                                      ANSI/ASCII game (PCBoard).

  87.                     2)  SUB ATTACK - Become a captain to a Los Angeles class
  88.                                      attack submarine.  FULL GRAPHICS real-
  89.                                      time attacks.  Upto 26 animated targets
  90.                                      at once.  FULL ANSI SCREEN!  Fuel depots
  91.                                      with 16 ansi maps of the worlds oceans.
  92.                                      Seek out and destroy IRAQ/Russians and
  93.                                      even Other Players!  Give this a try and
  94.                                      I am sure you'll agree its a new
  95.                                      dimention for Door games.  (DOOR.SYS)
